I See Your Naked Body!

This (meaning the blog post title) is what Mateo yelled all around the mall today. Which is funny to a three year old. A three year old who is very curious about bodies, nakedness, and potty language. Three year olds are also known for NOT stopping when you tell them to. If fact, this particular three year old tends to say inappropriate things longer and louder when you tell him not to. So, in combination, this can be quite embarrassing. And now everyone in the mall thinks my son would like to see their naked bodies.

...and all you can do is laugh.

Meechi's current obsession (ongoing for about 4 months now) is talking about boobs. I have told him that it is not nice to talk about boobs. So now, he will look at me, get this evil grin on his face and say "I'm talkin' bout boobs!" He knows he is not supposed to and it makes it that much more fun for him. He even has a song he has created, "belly buttons n boobs, belly buttons n boobs. shake shake shake. shake shake shake, your belly button and boobs". Ugh!
...and all I can do is laugh!

That's just awesome.

R insists on calling her butt her booty. If you say "bottom" or "behind" or "butt," she'll say, "No, boooooo-tyyyyyyy!" really loud.

My son says really loudly- I Tooted!! yep, anywhere.
Our daughter used to say goodbye to her "doings" as they flushed which may not be a big deal....until you are in a public toilet! Awww....children!

I read somewhere that you just have to flat-out ignore them when they do that. I said something like 'Oh GOD' recently, because I was surprised or pissed about something. Tyler promptly shouts "GOD". I had to leave the room because I wanted to laugh. Two more shouts and he was done. Tyler's also only 19 months old, so we'll see what tune I'm singing when he's Mateo's age.
